Why We Built WebHost24: A Host for Teams in India

WebHost24 began in 2024. It was a side project. We ran a few WordPress sites. They sat on shared hosts. All of them sat in the US. We got tired of four things.

• Slow dashboards. A page took 3 to 4 seconds to load in a browser. The host's own site was slower. The panel you log into was faster.
• Rupee prices came late. Each dollar bill came with a fee. That fee was 3 to 4%. Then tax on that fee. Then a new rate on the next bill.
• Domain and security sold as extras. The free part was the pitch. The checkout then added Rs 500 to 1500 a month. It was for "advanced" tools. Those are the norm now.
• Help in the wrong time zone. Help at any hour from California did not help. Our users sat in Mumbai.

We built WebHost24 to fix those four things. We sell one kind of thing. It is hosting that runs on its own in India. That means apps run in containers. Plus servers you rent whole and disk space. We sell it well.

What we're not.

• We are not a cloud firm. You may need raw virtual servers, Kubernetes, or root access to a bare host. Use a cloud firm for all of that. AWS, GCP, Azure, and DigitalOcean all fit.
• We are not an app shop. We ship the apps we run. WordPress, ERPNext, n8n, Ghost, Plausible, Matomo, and Rocket.Chat are on the list. The rest sits on our apps page. Want an app that is not on the list? Bring your own Docker image. We will run it.
• We do not build software. We are the base your apps sit on. We work with Stripe and Razorpay. We do not take their place.

What we are.

• We work on one thing: hosting in Palitana, Gujarat.
• A small team. We reply on WhatsApp.
• Rupee prices. The price on the plan page is the price on the bill. No one adds a fee.
• We follow the law from day one. We meet the rules in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). We meet the privacy law in Europe too. Read the DPA to see the roles. It names you and us.
